A composite SST image was used this morning due to continued heavy cloud cover
SST composite images are a collection of 12 to 48 hours of different satellite data combined into one image. These types of data images are very useful when cloud conditions continuously obscure individual satellite images. Temperatures on these images are calculated to an average mean over the time period the data was collected. We feel that these images will be more useful then completely cloud masked individual images that display very little data.
