We are aware of a recent problem that has become more frequent as time goes by, regarding MICROSOFT'S INTERNET EXPLORE BROWSER.
It appears that once windows is upgraded with Microsoft's service pack #2, (SP2) some settings will be modified inside Internet Explorer (IE) causing a situation that will not allow printing of pages from some websites. Apparently Oceantemp is one of those websites that is effected by the changes and modifications.
If you cannot print out a chart while using Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser then we have two solutions:
1) Use our free Oceanview chart plotting program!!! It was originally made to PRINT CHARTS onto an entire sheet of paper no matter which shape chart you use. If you print using our program your charts will appear substantially larger then if you print from the website! Plus you can "blow up" any section of a chart and print that section onto an entire sheet of paper... plus much much more! You may download the program at http://www.oceantemp.com/1mainframe.htm?services.shtml~main Get your moneys worth and use the program! Its FREE!
2) If you insist on printing out your charts from the website then you will need to download Netscape's free browser and use that. You may download the Netscape browser at http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/ It is just as good a browser as IE and is not effected by the problem. We use Netscape all the time.
For the time-being, while we are attempting to find a way around this issue, just feel free to contact us if you have any other concerns. (Please contact us if you find a way around it as well!)
Regards
Fred
