Oceanview Program update

We have made a slight modification to our Oceanview Chart Plotting program and have updated it. You can download the new program on our website on the "service guide" page located at http://www.oceantemp.com/1mainframe.htm?services.shtml~main

The new version number is V4.1.0.53, and dated 2005 July 22. (Version numbers can be found under the "Help/About" menu on the program).

We were able to install it without removing the old program and none of our files were lost however we would advise backing up your old archive files just in case you want to save them. Installing it directly over the old program however should not be a problem.

Now... For those of you who do not have a clue as to what we are talking about, (and apparently there are many of you out there), the Oceanview program is our free version of a chart plotting program that you install on your computer and works exclusively with our temperature chart products. It has many nice features found in expensive chart plotting programs like mouse driven Lat Lon, distance in NM and heading, and is without doubt, the best way to print your charts out. Printing form the program results in much bigger charts because the program is designed to print out your chart onto a full sheet of paper resulting in a substantially larger printer chart. Printing out charts directly from the website usually results in charts that fill 1/2 to 3/4 of a page.

If you are still unsure about the program just go to the "service guide" page on the site and scroll way down to the bottom of the page where it says "Oceantemp general Information" and read topic # 15.
